Classic Crewneck Pattern

About this Pattern : The Classic Crewneck is a beginner friendly, crochet sweater. The body panels are constructed with extended half doubles, giving the garment a subtle but wonderful texture. The neckline utilizes front and back posts for a more structured collar, while the cuffs and bottom band use a simple back-loop-only technique. The Classic Crewneck can be made with a standard casual fit, or extra oversized to create the perfect layering piece for winter. This pattern is a made-to-measure design, and can be adjusted to fit the wearer’s shape. Construction : Garment is crocheted bottom-up with 2 flat body panels and 2 flat sleeve panels that are sewn together. A structured ribbing technique is also added to create the rounded collar. Yarn/Fiber : Sweater can be made with any weight yarn, but it’s highly suggested to use #4 Worsted, to achieve similar results. Skill Level : Advanced Beginners and up! You should have experience with crochet basics such as chains, half double crochets, slip stitches, working into the back loops only, etc.
