19th century Louis XV style walnut dresser. Also known as a vaisselier or buffet, this striking piece features a scalloped cornice over an open plate rack top with shelves, sitting above a lower cabinet. The lower section includes three drawers over a large two-door cupboard with raised panel doors and moulded drawer fronts, hallmarks of the French Provincial aesthetic. The drawers and doors are typically accented with decorative brass hardware and include a functioning lock and key. A fabulous piece for a kitchen or dining room, displaying great character with wonderful age and patination.
