Flip it to H-pattern for 7+1 gate-style shifting, or flip it to sequential for up/down paddle-style shifting. No tools, no disassembly, no software required to switch. It takes seconds. How does the push-down reverse work in H-pattern mode? In H-pattern mode, reverse is engaged by pushing the lever down while moving it into position — the same mechanism as many real manual gearboxes. This prevents accidentally selecting reverse during an intense session and gives the shifter an authentic feel. Does it work without installing any drivers? Yes. The SF SH is a standard USB HID device — Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11 recognise it immediately as a game controller with no driver or software installation required.
