18ct Yellow Gold Morganite & Diamond Ring

Like a minature piece of architecture, the morganite is suspended between two walls of gold. From the top you can see a very narrow clean line of gold framing the gemstone top and bottom but rotate the ring and you can see the full stone as if it was held between a pair of tweezers. The setting is smooth and strong and doesn't have individual claws that can catch. This is a very secure setting and very practical for wearing every day. The ring has a luxurious weight which adds to the strength of this design. There are eight round briliant cut diamonds, four set on either side of the centre morganite in an asymmetric pattern. The morganite is a very subtle pale pink in a neutral tone that pairs beautifully with the richness of the 18ct yellow gold. Morganite is from the same family of stones as aquamarine. It is called after the banker JP Morgan who was an avid stone collector. When Tiffany brought this stone to the jewellery market they named it after him as he was one of their most important clients.
