The Issue No. 08 Savoyard pays homage to the birthplace of the Opinel knife, the mountains of Savoy. Its varnished beechwood handle is decorated with the Savoyard coat of arms and features a red lanyard attached to the end for easy carrying. 8.5 cm martensitic stainless steel blade Blade hardness of 55–57 HRC Beechwood handle sourced from PEFC-certified forests Varnished handle for better protection against moisture and dirt Virobloc® safety ring locks the blade in the open position for use and the closed position for transport The stainless steel blade offers excellent sharpness, high resistance to abrasion and high corrosion resistance. The handle measures 10.9 cm in length.
