Make your own glow in the dark acrylic paint Mix glow pigment with Liquitex Matte Gel to create thick, spreadable paint with a matte finish. What it does Turns pigment into paint: Holds the powder together and helps it stick to your surface. Adds texture: Helps brush strokes and palette knife marks hold their shape. Creates a matte finish: Can also be mixed into ready-made acrylic paint for a non-glossy surface. How to mix Mix 30% glow pigment with 70% gel by weight. Add the powder gradually and stir thoroughly until evenly mixed. Adjust with more gel if needed, but do not exceed 35% pigment. Adding more won’t make the glow brighter and can cause clumping. Apply over a white base with a brush or palette knife. Test a small area and check the glow once fully dry.
