Agrius convolvuli (pinned)

A real Convolvulus Hawkmoth (Agrius convolvuli), pinned with open wings and ready for your insect collection or display case. Bark-grey forewings hide a striking pink and black striped body that most people don't expect on such a well camouflaged moth. Agrius convolvuli is one of the largest hawkmoths in Europe and a strong migrant - every summer it flies north from Africa and feeds on flowers at dusk with its extremely long proboscis. Every specimen is prepared and spread by hand in our small workshop in Central Europe. Species: Agrius convolvuli (Common name: Convolvulus Hawkmoth) Quality: A-grade - very good condition with clean, complete wings, like on the main photos. B-grade - minor signs of wear, like small chips on the wing edges or slight scale loss (see the B-grade example photo) Size: wingspan approx. 8-10.5 cm (3.15-4.13 in) Please note: this is a natural specimen, so it may differ very slightly from the photos Packaging & Shipping: I take extra care in packaging. Your specimen will be safely pinned on a pinning board and secured in a sturdy box to ensure it arrives in perfect condition. No extra taxes or fees!
