Skull and Sewer Scenic Bases drop a 28-32mm miniature into the underworks: nine designs built from dripping pipes, iron grates, hanging chains and far too many skulls.Supplied unpainted. Some are cramped corners of a sewer, with pipework running down a broken wall and a drain grate underfoot. Others are dungeon chambers: a portcullis hung with chains, a skull on a chain swinging between spiked pillars, a fire bowl suspended over a stair. They suit gangers, cultists, mutants and anything that lives below the hive or beneath the castle. Each base is a single-piece resin print on a 60mm footprint, with the scenery sculpted at 28-32mm scale: doorways, steps, skulls and railings are sized for a 28-32mm miniature standing in the scene, not towering over it. That makes them a natural home for characters, heroes and larger infantry on 60mm bases, or for a single figure you want to present as a small vignette on the shelf. Mount your miniature straight onto the open ground in front of the backdrop. Most designs in this range sit on a 60mm round base. The exception is Chained Portcullis (60 x 66mm oval): sculpted on an oval base, printed 60mm across the narrow side, and marked as oval in the dropdown. Stone and Brick Dark grey basecoat, black wash, then drybrush a lighter grey over the raised edges 2. Pipes and Iron Gunmetal basecoat with a brown wash, then stipple orange rust and a little verdigris green into the joints 3. Skulls Bone colour with a sepia wash; pick out the eye sockets in black 4. Grime Gloss varnish around grates and pipe mouths, with a green-brown wash, for standing sewer water This is an adult hobbyist collectible, not a toy.
