Its loose A‑line cut, raglan sleeves, and high Prussian collar created a practical silhouette that layered comfortably over knitwear and tailoring, making it as functional outdoors as it was refined in town. Today, Johnstons of Elgin reinterprets the Balmacaan in lambswool with a traditional Scottish wool handle, woven in our Elgin mill for warmth, durability, and a natural drape. This is a relaxed fit.
