Little Ghost and the Robot

It seems Robot should have been delivered to Hogarth’s. However where do the Hogarth family live? It’s somewhere in the big city. Yet travelling here will mean that Little Ghost, whose help Robot needs, must leave the old, dark home she knows. However, Robot’s her new friend, someone for whom she’s longed and enjoyed playing with. Bravely the pair face the diamond, singing city absorbing its colour, noise and wonder before alighting upon Mrs Potts. She watches the theatre but needs Little Ghost’s and Robot’s encouragement and company to attend. Then again, might there be more magic for the three to share with each other? Or could Hogarth’s be the end of this friendship? Could it be that this is the family Robot belongs with, or might there be something that Little Ghost, Robot and Mrs Potts find in each other that offers real family bonds? David Litchfield’s truly inspiring message of friendship and encouragement is celebrated through his star spangled, hopeful, colour rich illustrations that light each page.
