Teal filaments of mycelium run out of its back and down its arm, and mushrooms push up through rust orange roots where it steps. The figure is built in fine stipple work so the fur holds depth against a washed ground. This one is 250 GSM, which is 7.4 oz per square yard. The extra yarn is what lets the body hang instead of cling, and it gives the print a stable surface rather than a stretched one.How the acid wash is doneAcid wash is a garment wash. It is applied after the piece is sewn, not to the yarn, so the fade breaks across the seams and down the sleeves and lands a little differently on every unit. Two pieces in the same colorway will not match each other exactly. That is the finish doing its job.The fitCut oversized with a drop shoulder, so the sleeve seam sits down the arm and the shoulder line reads wide. Acid wash is applied to the finished garment, so the fade pattern is different on every unit. The print is consistent, the wash under it is not.Does it fit big?Yes, this is an oversized cut with a drop shoulder. Order your normal size for the look in the photos, size down one for anything closer.How do I keep the wash and the print?Cold water, gentle cycle, inside out, tumble dry low. Heat is what dulls a garment wash and cracks a print.
