Redwood is a beautiful wood for luthiers to use in building ukuleles. It is almost as dark sounding as Western Red Cedar, but has a clearer presence has a little snap to the sound. A great choose when you want to add some brightness to a dark sounding back and sides like Walnut. We recover our Redwood from salvage of old growth making this soundboard a very eco-friendly and sustainable guitar wood. There is one piece 0.18 x 9 7/8 x 16". Photos are taken two ways.
