Vintage Children's Aluminum Cup & Sauce Set with 9 Pieces circa 1920s-1950s

{HISTORY} From the 1920s-1950s, aluminum toy tea sets were all the rage for holiday gift-giving when it came to delighting the little ones. Often referred to as Little Mother sets, these tiny characters of the kitchen were made with all the charm and appeal that matched their adult-sized counterparts. This set consists of three cups, three saucers and three plates all with a matching stamped design around the rim. Unmarked as to maker, we can't 100% accurately pinpoint the dates of these nine, but if we had to guess, we'd say they are closer to the 1920s-1930s era based on their simple style. From the 1950s to the 1970s, children's tea sets were popular too, but many in that era favored animals, Disney characters, and Mother Goose rhymes. Perfectly proportioned in shape, this mini set, has creative tea-time adventures written all over its pretty presentation. Experiencing some bumps and dings along the way, it's fun to think that this set, although not in perfect condition now, was the perfect plaything for the little tea partier and all her pals. So cute for a wide array of scenarios from kids’ room decor, to tables centerpieces, to baby shower decorations and tea room styling, this trio couldn't be any more endearing. Every piece is solid in construction, but as is the nature with vintage aluminum there is authentic wear in some dents and dings which can be found all pieces.
