Athiamiowee – A Civil War Journey Home

A Civil War Confederate soldier is released and heads home through Kentucky to the Mountains of East Tennessee. He takes the little-used Native American trail called “Athiamiowee.” It can be translated as “Path of the Armed Ones.” Hungry and cold, with only a blanket to aid him in the journey, the released man walks onward, headed toward the cabin of his birth. He is joined by a mysterious stranger who warns him that he is about to enter Union lands. Together, they venture into territory where the war has not yet ended. A rogue Union sympathizer, Big Bill, lusts for another opportunity for vengeance. Hiding in a gorge awaiting his prey, the killer takes aim. Did Soldier Bailey get home?
