Attributed to Richard Wilson R.A. 1713/14-1782. Welsh School 18th.Century. Wooded Landscape with figures. Chalk on buff laid paper, with B Columbier, Paris watermark. Reverse inscribed Richard Wilson, Some vertical crease marks, adhered to backing at upper corners. 38 by 25.5 cms. Wilson was a highly influential Welsh landscape painter and a founder member of the Royal Academy. He is widely regarded as a leading pioneer of the British classical landscape tradition.
