The kit includes an inlet cleaning plug and an outlet cleaning plug that seal vulnerable openings to help prevent dust and water ingress. When both plugs are correctly fitted, compatible equipment achieves an IP65 protection rating. This includes IP6X dust-tight protection and IPX5 protection against water jets from all directions. The kit is particularly useful where respiratory equipment requires regular wash-down, cleaning or shower decontamination as part of workplace hygiene and maintenance procedures.
