Blackened Iron Totem

The Animal Bestiary is created using sheets of black iron and, in the final stage, Corten steel. These works are produced in the workshop using laser cutting. The material is then further processed by me in the studio and manually oxidized using acid-based solutions that vary from subject to subject. Each piece has unique characteristics that make it one of a kind. The works are usually not permanently sealed, so as to keep the iron surface non-reflective.
