Le Corbusier "LC2 Petit Modele" Sofa for Cassina, 1980s

This "LC2 Petit Modele" sofa was originally designed by Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Jeanneret in 1928. This vintage example was manufactured by Cassina in the 1980s. It features a simple, tubular steel frame which contains loose, oversized, feather down cushions. The cushions have been newly reupholstered in soft, luxurious, bronze mohair fabric and new feather down. The original straps are in great condition, as is the tubular frame, which shows only very light, nominal cosmetic wear consistent with age. This piece is signed, as can be seen in the photo.
