Adult Grading

Your beginner grading at Focus. This is where adult beginners step up through their early grades: red, yellow or orange. Whether it’s your first grading or your second, it’s your chance to show the basics you’ve been building, in a supportive, in-class setting. Date: Thursday 25th June 2026 Time: 7:30pm – 8:45pm, in class straight after the last juniors session Location: HW Marsh What you’ll be graded on: the fundamentals you drill every week. Stance, movement and guard. Core techniques and combinations. Control and discipline on the pads. Focus, effort and attitude. You don’t need to be perfect. We’re looking for clean basics, honest effort and the right mindset. What to bring: Everyone needs a clean Focus uniform, belt and water. Taking Red: uniform, belt, gloves, skipping rope, water. Taking Yellow or Orange: all of the above plus full sparring kit (head guard, gum shield, boxing gloves, groin guard for males, chest protector for females, shin guards, footpads). On the night: a relaxed but focused session. You’ll grade in a small group, work through the syllabus elements with the coaches, and get your result. Pass and you move up to your next belt, certificate to follow. Spaces are limited, so book early. Earned, not given.
