Stachys byzantina ‘Silky Fleece’ (Lamb’s Ear) A charming dwarf form of Lamb’s Ear, ‘Silky Fleece’ forms a low, dense mat of tiny, soft, fuzzy, silver-gray leaves. The tufted rosettes stay only a few inches tall, creating a tidy groundcover with beautiful texture and color for sunny garden spaces. In summer, small lavender flowers rise above the foliage on slender stems, adding a soft touch of color. Its compact habit makes it especially useful for rock gardens, edging, containers, and the front of sunny borders. Plant in average, dry to medium, well-drained soil.
