pH METER

A pH meter is a device used to measure how acidic or alkaline a liquid solution is. It provides a precise reading on the pH scale, which ranges from 0 to 14—where 7 is neutral, values below 7 are acidic, and values above 7 are alkaline. pH meters are commonly used in hydroponics, agriculture, water testing, and laboratories. In hydroponic systems, maintaining the correct pH level is crucial because it affects how well plants can absorb nutrients. If the pH is too high or too low, plants may struggle to take in essential minerals, even if those nutrients are present in the water. The device works using a special probe (electrode) that is placed into the liquid. This probe detects the concentration of hydrogen ions in the solution and converts it into a pH reading, which is displayed digitally on the meter.
