It delivers a complex profile of fresh, spicy, and aromatic notes, with a vibrant natural green color and a rich character that makes it ideal for sipping or cocktails. Created in 1840, Chartreuse Verte was the first liqueur made from the original recipe of the Elixir Végétal de la Grande Chartreuse. Its popularity led Father Garnier, then responsible for the liqueurs, to officially rename it “Chartreuse Verte” and register the Chartreuse trademark in 1852. It is still produced today by the Chartreux Fathers at the Aiguenoire distillery in Entre-Deux-Guiers, Isère, France.
