This is a legendary site with heavy clay soils that yield some of the most powerful, dense and structurally massive expressions of Nebbiolo in the region. The low-yielding 2021 vintage took that natural muscle and amplified it, delivering tiny berries packed with immense concentration. The fruit underwent extended maceration on skins before spending years in large oak to tame that heavy, muscular tannin profile. This is a deep, dark and brooding animal, loaded with black cherry skin, leather and a firm, ironstone minerality. The tannin profile is serious and mouth-coating, giving you a proper, old-school Italian red that practically begs for a massive decant or a decade hidden away in a dark corner.
