Hannes Bergdoll - Granit Sauvignon Blanc 2024

Granit Sauvignon Blanc 2024 is a natural wine crafted by Hannes Bergdoll, in the Pfalz region in Germany. This white wine is made with Sauvignon Blanc grapes. Often German Sauvignons mimic a New Zealand “cat piss” style, which does not work for us, or many a natural wine lover’s palate. Here however, perhaps due to the uncommon Granite soils it is grown on, Hannes takes Sauvignon Blanc to a more mineralic and edgy direction that could in some ways be mistaken for Styria in Austria - and the precision is right there on form as well. A fresh wine with vibrancy, and a complexity from nose to finish.
