For this reason martingale collars are also known as non-slip collars and are ideal for sighthounds and other breeds with slim heads and long necks or those with a "Houdini" inclination. Martingale collars also provide additional control over your dog and gently tighten as they pull but do not choke the dog like other types of training collars. This should fit neat on the neck with room to slide two fingers in between the neck and collar.
