Wheel-Throwing Level 1/2 Get your hands muddy and learn the basics of pottery on the wheel in this beginner-friendly class. You'll be guided step-by-step through centering, pulling, and shaping clay to create your first functional forms. No experience needed. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to try something new. With small group setting, you’ll receive personalized instruction and hands-on support throughout the process. This course is perfect for beginners or anyone looking to strengthen their foundational skills on the wheel. You’ll leave with new techniques, a sense of accomplishment, and beautiful functional pieces made with your own two hands. As The Kiln Room continues to grow into our expanded space, we’re building clearer pathways for students who want to deepen their practice. Completion of two full courses in either wheel throwing or handbuilding is required before accessing independent studio time in the corresponding studio (wheel throwing studio or handbuilding studio). This helps ensure everyone using the space feels confident, capable, and supported. 6-Week Course: July 13th to August 24th (skipping the week of August 3rd) Time: 11am to 2pm The price includes instruction, clay, glaze, and kiln firings, with guidance provided by a professionally trained artist.
