The Snapmaker U1 printer features an integrated, compact automatic filament management system that can hold up to four spools. This system offers an auto-loading function that eliminates the need to thread the filament manually – simply hang the spool and let the machine take care of the rest. Thanks to RFID technology, the device automatically recognises the type and colour of genuine Snapmaker filaments, adjusting the print settings without your intervention. For those undertaking long prints, Backup Mode will prove invaluable. If one spool runs out, the printer will automatically switch to the next spool of the same material, allowing you to make full use of the remaining filament without worrying about interrupting the job. Additionally, the built-in 2MP camera with AI algorithms can detect ‘spaghetti’ errors and obstacles in the build area, sending a notification to your Snapmaker App or Snapmaker Orca software.
