Manawa Honey 3-Pack - Tawari Rewarewa and Manuka

The Manawa Honey 3-Pack wasn't on our radar until a customer asked for us to get it for them. So of course, we did! The Manawa Honey pack is a lovely set of 3 jars of different honey: Tāwari Rewarewa Mānuka All packaged in an elegant purple and gold pack. So, what is Manawa Honey? Well it is honey from the Ureweras. Now known as Te Urewera, as this huge, remote rainforest is recognised in NZ law as a person. The forest is a taonga, a treasure, and the focus of its management is keeping it pristine. Te Urewera is also home to the Tūhoe people. And it is Tūhoe people who process the honey. Honey types: Tāwari: Tāwari Honey is produced from the nectar of the rare native Tāwari tree, and has a light butterscotch flavour. Rewarewa: Rewarewa Honey is an award winning honey made from the nectar of the native Rewarewa (honeysuckle) tree. It tends to have a darker colour and a rich caramel flavour. Mānuka: Mānuka Honey is arguably New Zealand's most famous honey. Not only does it have a beautiful flavour, it is also well known as an anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory. Each jar holds 110g of honey. Enjoy sampling these different honeys.
