Trojan Fir

The Trojan fir (Abies equi-trojani), also known as the Kazdağı fir or Mount Ida fir, is a rare and striking evergreen tree native to the mountainous regions of northwestern Turkey, particularly around Mount Ida (Kazdağı) near the ancient site of Troy. This fir tree is part of the Mediterranean climate region, and it has adapted to grow in rugged, high-altitude environments.
