The gold version features a double PVD gold coating over stainless steel. This finish is far more durable than traditional gold plating and is designed to withstand everyday wear. I wore test samples for several months, including in the shower and at the beach, and was impressed by how well the finish held up. The chain links are compatible with jump rings up to approximately 0.85 mm wire thickness (about 20 gauge).
