Handcrafted in 18k gold, the pendant opens to reveal six cabochon garnets nestled within — jeweled seeds referencing the six pomegranate seeds Persephone consumed before being bound between earth and the underworld. In Greek mythology, the pomegranate became a symbol of duality: life and death, longing and return, light and shadow. Persephone’s descent and reemergence marked the changing of the seasons, tying her eternally to two worlds at once.
