Size 310 x 238 cm, 10'2 x 7'10 Hand-made in Pakistan from hand-spun wool and natural dyes This rug contains approximately 885360 knots, and would have taken 148 days to weave and finish Oushak rugs originally woven by Turkoman in the Caucasus have been very popular designs imported into Europe for over 200 years. This is due to their all over designs with no central medallion which makes them easier to centre in a room. These Pakistan Oushaks are made utilizing hand spun and natural dyes in faithful respect to original Oushaks. They are woven by Turkoman weavers residing in Pakistan. As these rugs are woven in Pakistan, a Commonwealth country, they are imported by us into Canada with no duties or tariffs making them excellent value. Every pile rug has a nap so that the pile lies in one direction. This means there is a lighter end and and darker end for each rug which is why there are photographs from both ends.
