Deadstock 1940s/50s Navy Blue Hard Straw Hat

1940s/50s hard hat made from lacquered woven straw in navy blue. The hat has a tall straight crown and a wide brim. It still has its original Paris paper stock label inside, with French stock details and “entrée 55” noted on the label. The actual inner circumference measures approx. 51 cm. New old stock, so never worn. Measurements: • Length approx. 30 cm / 11.75" • Width approx. 29,5 cm / 11.5" • Inner circumference approx. 51 cm / 20" In deadstock condition with storage wear. The hat has not been worn, but there is paint loss and wear to the finish in several areas, mainly visible on the inside, along the edge, and at the top of the crown. The original paper stock label is still present.
