18" x 23" Each work originates from a base screenprint by Eric Kneelander, printed on imperfect, colored vintage paper selected for its distinct character and patina. This collaboration between Chris Johanson and Barry McGee is further elevated through an extensive process of hand embellishment. Using gouache, acrylic, spray paint, and pencil, the artists intervene directly on each print, transforming it into a singular, unrepeatable work. No two works are alike—each composition is uniquely defined by its hand-painted gouache elements, gestural pencil work, and expressive spray paint applications.
