Description: Each piece of this rough tree agate is approximately 1/2" - 3" in size. Rock/Mineral Info: Tree agate is a type of microcrystalline quartz with inclusions that resemble moss and other organic material. These inclusions are not actually organic, but instead are iron and manganese impurities that were trapped in the stone while it was forming. It is defined by an opaque, normally white chalcedony with inclusions that are usually green, brown, and sometimes blue or pink.
