Welcome Mat Daylily

Welcome Mat Daylily ‘Welcome Mat' daylily is the perfect daylily to say "welcome home" at the front of the garden. Large 5" blooms are the most luscious peach-pink blend and have a nice light fragrance. Scapes reach just under 2' tall in our East Tennessee garden. Good rebloom, too. As a mid to late season bloomer, we begin to see the gorgeous blooms of Welcome Mat around the middle of June. If you live to our north, you'll see them a bit after we do. If you live to our south, you'll notice them a couple of weeks before us. Good rebloom means you'll see them off and on throughout the season. Welcome Mat is a dormant daylily. That means it is best grown in areas that receive a sustained winter cold period like those in zones 8 and lower. This daylily really pops when planted with rich purple and creamy brown daylilies. Try it with sizzling hot pink if you want to electrify your garden!
