The Thin Skin 0.08mm (SHS-8) sits in the middle of our thin skin range - offering a natural, undetectable result with significantly better durability than the ultra-thin alternatives, while remaining thinner than our Medium Skin 0.12mm system. For men who want the clean look of a skin base with a practical everyday lifespan, it's a consistently popular choice. At 0.08mm, the base is still remarkably fine and completely transparent against the scalp, but its greater thickness compared to the 0.03mm and 0.06mm alternatives makes it significantly more resilient to regular attachment and removal. With an average lifespan of 3–6 months, the SHS-8 offers excellent long-term value without any compromise on the natural result you'd expect from a quality skin system. The hairline is where the SHS-8 particularly impresses. A thinner 0.03mm skin material at the very front, combined with invisible V-loop knots across the first ½ inch, creates a hairline so natural it's virtually impossible to distinguish from real hair growth. Behind the hairline, single split knots are hand-tied strand by strand using single strand technology throughout the rest of the base, delivering both a natural appearance and the kind of consistency that holds up well over the full lifespan of the system. Like all our skin systems, the base uses a chemical-free production technique that keeps it completely transparent and shine-free - blending seamlessly with your scalp tone without any artificial glare or visible edges. The fine perforations throughout the base allow the scalp to breathe, addressing one of the most common concerns about wearing a full skin system day to day. As with all SHS systems, the SHS-8 is made from 100% human hair, meaning it can be washed, styled and heat treated just like your natural hair. Every unit has been personally worn and tested by us - if we wouldn't trust it with our own appearance, it doesn't make it onto the site.
