2012 Gucci Documented Peach Floral Maxi-Dress

This silk gown was designed by Frida Giannini for Gucci's Pre-Fall 2012 collection, where it appeared as Look 5 and was subsequently featured in the collection's official look book. Made in Italy, it reflects Giannini's refined, feminine vision for the house, while showcasing one of the season's defining motifs: an oversized pansy print in shades of charcoal, chocolate brown, pale grey and amber, set against a soft peach silk ground and finished with the Gucci signature. The dress is suspended from delicate self-fabric spaghetti straps and falls from the bodice into a beautifully pleated full skirt. The generous volume allows the silk to move gracefully around the ankles with every step. The dress fastens at the back with an engraved mother-of-pearl Gucci button, two concealed hook-and-eye fastenings and a hidden tonal zip finished with a logo zip pull. It is fully lined throughout in matching silk. The gown is in excellent vintage condition. It is made entirely from 100% silk, including the lining. It is labelled an Italian size 38, equivalent to approximately a UK 6 or US 2. The cut offers comfortable room through the waist and hips.
