A 4-pack of hand picked boards that have been jointed and planed on all four sides(S4S). Ready for your next project. Curly Cherry is the classical wood that you love with an added figure giving it a unique look, adding to any project. Cherry is a light pinkish brown when freshly cut, darkening to a deeper golden brown with time and upon exposure to light. Sapwood is a pale yellowish colour. Cherry is easy to work with both machine and hand tools. The only difficulties typically arise if the wood is being stained, as it can sometimes give blotchy results due to its fine, close grain. A sanding sealer or gel stain is recommended. Glues, turns, and finishes well. Hobby boards are milled from 4/4 lumber, finished thickness will vary between 3/4"-1". Boards are 20" long.
