It may also be used during shipping, storage, transplanting, and establishment where reducing plant water loss is beneficial. Key Uses TransFilm is used to reduce winter and summer desiccation, decrease turfgrass dew formation and leaf-blade wetness, reduce transplant shock, conserve plant and soil moisture, reduce drying of cut and rolled sod, extend irrigation intervals on indoor plants, and preserve the quality of Christmas trees and holiday greenery during shipping and storage. Application Notes For winter desiccation protection on conifers and broadleaf evergreens, mix TransFilm at a 5% to 10% solution and apply as a thorough cover spray in late fall or early winter. For Christmas trees and holiday greenery, use a 2.5% solution and apply before shipping or during storage. For fine turfgrass including golf greens, apply 2.5 gal per acre or 8 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft for winter or summer desiccation protection. For dew reduction, apply 2 gal per acre or 6.4 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft. TransFilm may also be tank mixed with labeled fungicides at 0.25% to 0.5% v/v where permitted. For rolled sod, apply 2.5 gal per acre at least one hour before cutting and rolling. For transplant-shock reduction on conifers, broadleaf evergreens, deciduous trees, shrubs, groundcovers, vines, bedding plants, and flowers, use a 2.5% to 5% solution before shipping and transplanting.
