Carry On is the second solo studio album from Chris Cornell, originally released in 2007. Arriving after Audioslave’s final album, the record gave Cornell room to explore a broad mix of alternative rock, hard rock, acoustic songwriting and soul influences, all centred around one of rock music’s most distinctive voices. The album includes No Such Thing, Arms Around Your Love and Cornell’s striking interpretation of Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean. It also features You Know My Name, his theme for the 2006 James Bond film Casino Royale, alongside highlights including Scar on the Sky, Safe and Sound and She'll Never Be Your Man. Carry On showcases the range of Cornell’s solo songwriting, moving between muscular guitar-driven rock and quieter, more reflective material. The varied arrangements provide plenty of space for his vocals, while the album captures a distinct chapter between his work with Audioslave and the later Soundgarden reunion.
