Wall Mounted Thrush – Antoinette Ratcliffe

Antoinette is one of New Zealand’s most renown taxidermists. She works for Zelandia and Te Papa, as well as out of her own studio – The Sick Bay in Wellington. This thrush bird was donated to Antoinette from from someone in Newtown, Wellington. They were reading a book called The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows at their kitchen table when she hopped through the front door then died. Mounted on wood with eye hook.
