KuKirin G2 Electric Scooter (2026 Version)
The G2 is the scooter the rest of KuKirin's G-range grew out of — and for most riders it's still the sweet spot. One 800W rear hub motor (1,200W peak), a 48V 15Ah battery, spring suspension at both ends and 10-inch tubeless tyres with enough tread for lanes, park paths and gravel. Three riding modes (25 / 35 / 45 km/h) keep it sensible when you need it to be, 160mm disc brakes haul it up, and at around 26 kg it folds flat enough to lift into a boot without a second pair of hands. It comes in the box and fits with three screws (we fit it for you on collection). Controller sealed to IPX7 — the electronics that matter most are now the best-protected part of the scooter. The scooter as a whole stays IP54: splash-resistant, not for rain or puddles. Enlarged front brake disc for more bite at the wheel that does most of the stopping. Carried over from the 2025 upgrade: 160mm rear disc, the flush tail light in the reinforced rear step, the fully wrapped footboard and the thicker front fork. Honest range talk: KuKirin quote up to 55 km on paper — and that's a 65 kg rider at a steady middle speed. Ridden the way this thing invites you to ride it, plan around 25–35 km (15–22 miles) per charge. That's still a proper afternoon out — we'd just rather you heard it from us than found out in a field. Where can you ride it? Private land with the landowner's permission — e-scooters aren't road-legal in Northern Ireland. The full plain-English rules are in our guide: NI e-scooter law, explained. No — private land with permission only, like every e-scooter in NI. Full rules here. What range will I really get? Plan 25–35 km (15–22 miles). Gentle riding in the low mode stretches it; full-throttle fun uses it faster. Is it waterproof? No — IP54 means splash-resistant. Fine for a damp path, not for rain, puddles or a hose. Water damage isn't covered under warranty, so treat it like the electronics it is. How long does it charge? 8–9 hours from empty — overnight, basically. Can I lift it into a car? Yes — about 26 kg, and it folds to 54 cm tall in a few seconds. Who fixes it? We do — in our own Cookstown workshop, with KuKirin parts in stock. You're never posting it anywhere. Can I reserve one for Christmas? Yes — £20 minimum Reservation Fee holds it, pay the rest your way, collect by Friday 18 December.
