This is a Saratoga Lounge Chair, designed by Massimo and Lella Vignelli for Poltronova in 1964. This example dates to the 1960s and features a white lacquered finish over a wooden case. We have recently had the upholstery professionally redone in a high quality black Italian leather, and also have replaced the inner foam cushions. This chair was produced in Italy by Poltronova, and was imported to the United States by Stendig. The piece measures 37 inches deep, 35.5 inches wide, and 26 inches high. It has a seat height of 14 inches. We have intentionally left the case frame in its as-found condition to showcase the history of the piece. The lacquer has some cracks and some chips, and there are signs of use. We can have the case fully refinished or partially cleaned and repaired upon request for a modest additional cost. Overall, this chair is in good condition. Please see photos.
