Class: Beginner Crochet Shawl/Scarf (8/29)
Saturday, August 29 (12pm-3pm). Reservation required. Learn the basics of crochet with instructor Sharon Crawford. Master the skills needed to get started on a beautiful yet simple granny-style wrap which can be styled like a cozy shawl or draped scarf. Sharon will guide you step-by-step with her approachable, easy to follow teaching style. Once this three-hour class is completed, you will have solid foundational crochet skills and be well on your way to completing your very first handmade accessory. Skills you will learn: Holding a crochet hook Yarn tension Creating a chain Making a slip stitch Double crochet stitch How to read a crochet pattern Materials: The class includes three hours of instruction and a printed pattern. Attendees need to be prepared and bring the following: US I / 5.5mm crochet hook 270+ yards of heavy-worsted/aran weight yarn, preferably a self-striping merino like Amitola Grande These supplies can be purchased in-store before class using a 15% off Class Discount.
