The C.A.T4+ and Genny4 is a cable avoidance kit built for crews who need to know what’s under the ground before the first bucket goes in. The C.A.T4+ locator sweeps for Power, Radio and Genny signals — individually or all at once in Avoidance Mode — and adds depth estimation so operators can identify the route of a buried utility rather than just its presence. Paired with the Genny4 signal generator, the kit reliably picks up small-diameter services such as telecom twisted pairs, street lighting spurs and drop-offs that have historically been the hardest to find and the easiest to hit. Simple trigger-and-sweep operation, a high-contrast backlit display and Real Sound audio taken directly from the located utility keep the workflow fast without sacrificing confidence in the result. Dynamic Overload Protection keeps the locator working near substations and under power cables where other units overload and drop out.
