Vater Wire Tap Brushes - Beantown
Vintage inspired! A throwback to old-school brushes from decades ago. The Beantown Brush features a .530" grip for a lighter, quicker feel combined with thinner gauge wire for enhanced flex and a soft sound with classic swish tonality. The reddish-brown rubber grip nods to both the vintage brush era and Boston's "Beantown" nickname, where Vater's drumstick-making history began in the basement of Jack's Drum Shop. Going through Jack Adams' [Alan Vater's Grandfather] cases, Vater discovered vintage brushes made specifically for Jack when he owned and operated Jack's Drum Shop in Boston, where he also played jazz and big band. "The Beantown Brush is a dream fulfilled… I have been searching for that brush that is a direct replica of my favorite model that is the standard for jazz brushes. They knocked it out of the park with pure craftsmanship and a brush that feels and sounds good!" - Ulysses Owens Jr. Length: - 14" | 35.56cm Grip: - 0.530 | 1.35cm Brush Type: Wire
