Fox Rage Slick Finesse Soft Lure
Our opinion on the Fox Rage Slick Finesse The Slick Finesse is the Slick Shad without the paddle: same streamlined profile, same ultra-soft material, but a double lamella tail that undulates differently and triggers the most hesitant zander on vertical spots. The 16 cm is our reference format for zander in lakes, the 20 cm for pike or pelagic sessions. What you need to know Double lamella tail: fine undulations without paddle, active at rest Ultra-soft material: reacts to the slightest solicitation, bends in the fish's mouth Oversized eye: strong visual signal, serves as target point Two hook grooves: rigging versatility (jig head, Texas, drop shot) Ultra UV finish on all colors Available sizes: 16 cm and 20 cm Colors: UV Tinsel Oil, UV Chartreuse Ayu, UV Arkansas On the water: finesse in service of vertical fishing The double lamella tail: different action from paddle, decisive in difficult conditions The Fox Rage Slick Finesse abandons the Slick Shad's paddle in favor of a double lamella tail that generates fine, continuous undulations at the slightest pressure variation in the water. Where a paddle requires minimum speed to vibrate, the Slick Finesse lamellae move at rest, during descent, and at the slightest rod twitch. On vertical, it's a decisive argument: zander stationed in depth, which observe the lure without attacking on a classic retrieve, often react to this residual animation during pauses. The ultra-soft material amplifies this effect by transmitting water vibrations throughout the lure's body, not just the tail. The lure also bends easily in the fish's mouth at suction, which reduces unsuccessful strikes. 16 cm and 20 cm: two formats for two uses The 16 cm format is the most versatile in the range. It covers classic vertical fishing for zander in lakes from 4 to 10 m, drop shot on perch and zander, and light pelagic fishing on mid-water spots. It works effectively with Fox Rage Slick Pelagic Heads for deep vertical presentations. The 20 cm is a format more oriented toward pike and large zander, usable on vertical deep spots or on slow linear retrieve to prospect large open areas. Its length and softness generate greater undulation volume that detects predators at greater distance. The two grooves integrated into the body allow in both formats to adapt the rig to the spot: Texas hook for areas at risk of snagging, classic jig head for linear and open vertical. Three Ultra UV colors to adapt visual signal to conditions The UV Tinsel Oil is a translucent color with iridescent reflections, particularly effective in clear water and good weather for discreet, natural presentation. The UV Chartreuse Ayu is the most visible color in the selection, to prioritize in colored or turbid water and low light, where its chartreuse shade remains readable at depths where natural colors fade. The UV Arkansas offers a combination of natural tones with UV activation, suited to intermediate conditions where you seek a compromise between discretion and visibility. The oversized eye, present on all three colors, creates a strong visual contrast point that attracts the predator's eye during vertical animations and directs the strike toward the lure's head.
