2022 Frontline Workers Six-Coin Proof Year Set

During the COVID-19 pandemic a new type of hero emerged: Australia’s frontline workers — doctors, nurses, paramedics, teachers, cleaners, retail workers and many more who supported and protected the nation through extraordinary times. The Royal Australian Mint’s 2022 proof year set is the Mint’s flagship thank you, presenting the year’s 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, $1 and $2 coins in flawless proof finish. The centrepiece is the coloured proof $2 coin designed by the Mint’s Adam Ball, its reverse encircled by twelve pictograms of frontline workers joining hands around a connected pattern representing all Australians, each design element struck to mirror-like proof quality. The obverse of each coin bears the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The six proof coins are individually encapsulated in the Mint’s black display case, housed in a themed illustrated shipper with an information booklet.
