Originally created as a medicinal tonic, this popular class of aperitifs is so much more than just another cocktail ingredient and deserves to be savored on its own. We'll go over how vermouth is made by smelling our way through the many unique ingredients it can be made from before we sip a variety of styles from traditional Italian, French, and Spanish vermouths to the modern expressions of this famous palate opener.
